The Fail-safe Certification Program is innovative in that it makes getting certified easier for everyone. Nurses will improve the health of our community by providing exceptional healthcare

Nursing Honors

Garnet Health is a proud sponsor of the Daisy Award for nurses. The submissions are reviewed by the Nursing Professional Excellence Committee, and they make the decision about who receives the award. There is a ceremony with the Daisy offerings of the statue, pin and, of course, the Cinnabon’s! Family members, coworkers, and leaders are encouraged to join as witnesses to the reading of the nomination letter and gift receiving.
The BEE award recognizes and celebrates any employee, physician or volunteer who consistently demonstrates excellence that goes ABOVE the expectations of their job, in their interactions with their colleagues, patients, families and the community.
Garnet Health encourages and supports certification in the nurse’s area of skill. When a nurse achieves certification, it shows enhanced knowledge and dedication to oneself and to the profession. Certification awards showcase the RN, who took the challenge of certifying and succeeding. Each certification award includes the nurse’s colleagues, unit and executive leadership, and family.
During Nurse’s Week, there are multiple venues to celebrate nursing. Some past venues included an Escape Room, Healing room, Reiki, snack carts, ice cream stand, blessing of the hands, award ceremonies, and more.

Shared Governance

Shared Governance Nursing Congress is based on the Professional Practice Model (C.A.R.E.I.N.G.) and the Nursing Strategic Goal that supports the principles of partnership, equity, accountability, and ownership. Committee contributions ensure transparency, promote collaboration, and celebrate the impactful work happening across our shared governance structure. Thank you for your continued commitment and leadership.
